let’s eat! pt 17



A sushi bake based on Alissa Nguyen’s recipe that I’ve been craving for weeks and dying to try!
I finally made it happen and I’m happy with the results! And fuck me, nori is so good!
But unfortunately, I couldn’t find the japanese mayo (sold out) and I forgot to buy mirin, so I went with regular mayonnaise and rice vinegar. After the first taste test, I added waaaay more sriracha mayo and toasted sesame seeds.
I’m not against this recipe and I truly like it, but for my personal liking, I would use flavoured cream cheese (chive or even jalapeño) instead of natural. Substitute the sriracha mayo to regular sriracha and also add some more hot sauce in the salmon and imitation crab mixture for that spicy goodness. Top it all of with some lemon juice and not forget the damn mirin!
