the one with my trip

Please.. Take me back to Rome!
#tbt (do kids still say this?) to when I decided to take a weekend- trip with a friend Linda to visit my bestfriend Malin who lived and studied there since September 2017 to February 2018 and boy did I love it! I was there from January 25th to the 29th and can you believe that it was 62 degrees (17 C) during the day and sunny!? I come from Sweden so seeing this made me loose my mind. But like I said, I loved it and fell in love with the city as soon as I landed.

The atmosphere, the food, the wine, the life risks and near death experiences when crossing the streets, the police and militarymen who whistled at us and called us Spice Girls all while smiling like creeps. Oh, it was wonderful! On Sunday we were supposed to visit Colosseum and the Vatican City but we never got that far. Nope. We ended up going to our favourite restaurant for a ”quick bite” and have ONE GLASS OF WINE. Yeah.. we ended up with 25-30 glasses between us instead between 1pm to 8.30pm.

Totally worth it though! And can we appreciate this picture I took of the Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emmanuele II!? Although, my picture isn’t giving this monument any justice because it is H U G E! If you’ve been there then you know. On my next visit, I’ll make sure to enter the monument and go all the way to the top to get a beautiful panoramic view over the city.
